Nexgen Asset Management is Hiring a Technical Business Analyst Near Sacramento, CA

NEXGEN Asset Management is looking for a seasoned and versatile Technical Business Analyst to perform analysis and support business and technical objectives related to integrations and data migrations. This role is part of the Implementation Solutions team and will focus on gathering and documenting business requirements for integrations, creating standardization documentation, and testing integrations.

Our ideal candidate is a motivated, enthusiastic, and highly organized individual with a strong technical aptitude and Business Analyst experience in implementing an Enterprise Software application. We are looking for someone who is a critical thinker and intelligently curious. The Technical Business Analyst will report directly to the Director of Implementation Solutions.

This position is full time and based in our Sacramento, CA office.

JOB DUTIES:

Technical Business Analyst Responsibilities:

  • Gather business and technical requirements related to integrations with the ability to ask specific questions to find an appropriate solution to integrate systems.
  • Understand client needs and provide a scalable integrated solution that falls within the project scope.
  • Provide technical leadership and documentation in information gathering meetings, working sessions, and communication.
  • Document detailed integration use cases and requirements for developers to build.
  • Perform internal and external integration testing before client go live.
  • Aid in translating business and technical requirements between the client, Project Delivery team, and other teams throughout the project.
  • Assist Project Delivery team in documenting client workflows using industry standard practice and guidelines, preferably BABOK.
  • Create technical documentation for internal use.
  • Provide assistance in mapping and translating data as needed for client data migrations.

Technical Business Analyst Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information science, information systems, or another information technology related discipline; or equivalent combination of education and experience that is required for the specific job level. A strong technical background is required to manage technical projects and handle competing interests.

  • 5 Proven experience working as a Business Analyst.
  • Understanding of databases and data and Enterprise level software application.
  • Solid knowledge of relevant technology concepts in relational databases, and web-based architectures.
  • Working knowledge of SQL Server, querying software, spreadsheets, and Office 365 products.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills necessary to be the liaison between departments and people involved with various parts of the business.
  • Concern and ability to find the roots of certain problems and discover possible solutions and solve for abnormalities.
  • Experience with web APIs and the various methods used.

Technical Skills

  • Ability to interpret user requirements definitions and create detailed narrative documentation and workflow diagrams which can be easily understood by all involved parties.
  • Technical knowledge of communicating with developers and testers. Ability to determine strengths and areas of weaknesses and understand technical specifics and project limitations.
  • Ability to identify issues that may impact client project success; must escalate appropriately and/or workaround the issue.
  • Ability to map business processes using tools like Visio.
  • Ability to balance, coordinate and prioritize concurrent projects with unique timelines.
  • Proficient understanding of project management processes and methods.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret business needs and translate them into functional specifications.
  • Detail-oriented and data driven.

Salary range of $60,000 - $80,000/year based on experience.
