Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Linux Administrator with expertise in Ubuntu to join our team. The Linux Administrator will be responsible for implementing, configuring, securing, and maintaining Ubuntu Linux based servers and systems. The ideal candidate should have an understanding of network protocols, security, and Ubuntu server administration.
Key Responsibilities: Ubuntu Server Administration: Installation and configuration:

Install and configure Ubuntu Linux Servers and services including web server, databases and other applications.
Plan and deploy Ubuntu-based servers and services as part of the network architecture.
Implement and maintain security measures, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems and user access controls to protect Ubuntu servers and systems.
Apply security patches and updates to Ubuntu servers and network devices.
Manage user accounts, permissions, and software installations on Ubuntu servers.

Documentation:

Maintain accurate records and documentation of server configurations, install procedures and policies.
Generate reports on network performance, security, and capacity planning.

Monitoring and Backup:

Implement backup and disaster recovery solutions for Ubuntu-based servers and data.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Preferred
Proven experience as a system administrator with a strong emphasis on Ubuntu-based systems.
Proficiency in Ubuntu server administration.
Scripting experience desired (Bash, Python, etc.).
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ubuntu Certified Professional is a plus.
