The Center for Community Health, opened in January 2021 in the heart of Park Slope at our NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, set a new bar in personalized outpatient care -- from diagnosis to treatment -- by integrating new technologies and innovative clinical approaches to provide the highest quality care and enhance the patient experience.

This 400,000 -square foot, multi-specialty ambulatory center encompasses a Comprehensive Cancer and Women's Health Center, 12 ambulatory surgery operating rooms and Multispecialty physician practices. Our new state-of-the-art building encompasses three 600-ton chillers, five individual air handling units and Schneider control systems.

Supervisor Support Services - Center for Community Health - Day Shift

Under the supervision of the Manager, supervises the work activities of Environmental Services, Laundry, Waste Management, Patient Transport, Mailroom, Morgue and/or Amenities personnel to ensure proper operation throughout the hospital. Distributes work assignments, recommends need for additional equipment, and ensures proper daily staffing. This is a non-professional position with supervisory responsibility. The Supervisor assists with maintaining high quality standards of housekeeping. Reports on the immediate condition of all assigned areas. Trains and motivates departmental personnel. Supervises staff to ensure all work schedules are complete.

This is a full-time day shift position 7:30am-4:00pm including rotating weekends/holidays, located at the NewYork-Presbyterian Center for Community Health.

Preferred Criteria:

* Certification to operate pallet jack and/or motorized pony cart.

Required Criteria:

* Associate's degree from a recognized college or university or equivalent experience.

* Minimum two years of previous work-related experience.

* Basic knowledge of EVS, laundry, or waste management operations, preferably in a large institution.

* Solid interpersonal and communication skills.

* Familiarity with computers.

* Familiarity with Joint Commission Standards and Quality Assurance.

* Excellent supervisory skills.
