Newport Personalized Medicine is Hiring a Medical Assistant Near Middletown, RI

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled, dependable and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team in a concierge practice. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality patient care in an office setting. This is a part-time/full-time position with competitive pay

Responsibilities:

- Perform various administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, prior authorizations and insurance referrals.

- Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs, documenting medical history, and assisting with minor medical procedures

- Refill medications as directed by healthcare providers

- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment

- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure efficient patient flow and delivery of care

- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff

Qualifications:

- Completion of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent training

- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology

- Proficiency in performing basic clinical procedures such as taking vital signs, administering injections, and conducting EKGs

- Strong communication skills with the ability to provide excellent patient service

- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

- Basic life support certification preferred

Skills:

- Strong knowledge of physiology

- Excellent patient service skills

- Proficient in patient care techniques

- Ability to accurately measure vital signs

- Familiarity with medical terminology
