Responsibilities

Responsible for ensuring that the preparation and presentation of meals and snacks to residents, guests and families meet Newport Academy’s standard of culinary excellence.

Essential Duties:

• Open and close the kitchen as needed.
• Communicate performance or disciplinary issues to the Chef.
• Assign tasks during shift.
• Prepare/present breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks on a daily basis.
• Provide healthful, nutritious, and organic meals/snacks as directed
• Ensure overall kitchen cleanliness including refrigerators, freezers, ovens, floors, dishes after each meal, and food prep.
• Ensure Kitchen adheres to state health and hygiene requirements and Newport Healthcare standards.

Qualifications

• Experience of 1.5 -3 years in various kitchen settings

Salary Range for this position is $26.00/hr – $28.00/hr
