New York Life - Saddlebrook is Hiring a District Sales Manager Near Saddle Brook, NJ

Job Description

Job Description
We're looking for an ambitious and goal-driven salesperson who understands the local market and can generate ideas that drive new sales to multiple hotel properties. We need a self-starter who can hit the ground running and always strives to exceed profit margins and revenue targets. Our next area sales manager is self-assured and has excellent communication skills to maintain relationships with existing customers while also seeking out new prospects through referrals and networking. The ideal candidate for this role will have at least three years of experience in managing sales, preferably in the hospitality industry. $65,000 - $150,000 yearly

Responsibilities:
  • Keep a list of important clients up to date to ensure the ongoing development of relationships
  • Solicit new and existing accounts to meet and exceed revenue targets through outside sales calls, on-site visits, and sales tours, and networking in the local community
  • Assess the performance of specific properties in your area and develop sales plans and goals that are in line with the broader brand goals
  • Study and research local market trends and competitor activity to discover potential leads
  • Determine ways to motivate the sales team so they consistently meet and exceed sales goals and profit margins monthly, quarterly, and annually

Product Solutions 

You will learn about our robust products and services that can help clients and their families achieve their financial goals. Together with its subsidiaries, New York Life provides a range of competitive insurance and financial products, including life insurance, annuities, long-term care insurance, disability income insurance, and investment products such as mutual funds through our broker-dealer, NYLIFE Securities LLC (member of FINRA and SIPC), a Licensed Insurance Agency. You will be required to hold securities licenses and FINRA registrations and affiliate with NYLIFE Securities as a registered representative before you can offer investment products. 

Qualifications:
  • Exhibits superior communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities
  • Must possess a high school diploma or GED and a bachelor’s degree in business or a similar major is desired
  • This position requires previous work experience in a hospitality role
  • Outstanding organizational skills and time management
  • 3 years of experience in sales management or a leadership role in the sales department, preferably in hospitality

  • Candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree or higher to meet qualifications
  • Prior Management experience desired
  • Exhibits superior communication, negotiations, and interpersonal abilities
