Assistant Director of CT New Hyde Park, NY West RegionNew York Imaging provides a comprehensive range of cutting-edge diagnostic imaging services from state-of-the-art modalities at various institutions. Our patient-oriented imaging centers aim to create a positive experience for all. Conveniently located throughout the five boroughs and extending to Nassau and Suffolk County, our team performs technological functions to ensure the optimal diagnostic quality of patient care, utilizing efficient and safe processes.In this role, you will:
Manage all expansion sites in your respective region - West Region: Nassau County, NYC, etc.
Participates in strategic planning of new sites and clinical layout
Manages Lead Technologists and holds weekly meetings for clinical operations
Manage all clinical CT and X-ray staff day-to-day operations
CT & X-ray scheduling - sick calls, PTO, site coverage, weekend coverage, holiday coverage, etc.
Daily billing audit and rolling query point
Inventory management and keeping accurate supply par levels
Primary training of new staff and ensuring proper sign-off, onboarding and competency documentation
Oversee protocoling exams at all off-sites (priors, labs, exams, etc.)
Participate in the hiring process, relationship management between staff
Manage protocols on all CT and X-ray machines to ensure continuity
Protocol changes and new builds on all CT and X-ray sites
Oversee CT and X-Ray QA program - keeping accurate records for radiation safety, planned maintenance, physicist reports, and monthly/daily QA at all off-sites.
Preparation for NYS DOH inspection and onsite for a day of inspection
Manage radiology registration for all off-sites
Operate CT equipment and perform a wide variety of CT imaging procedures that produce diagnostic images utilized to diagnose medical conditions.
Demonstrates computer literacy and skills with the proficient use of PACs RIS systems and other systems as required.
Demonstrate knowledge and expertise in radiation safety, contrast administration, cross-sectional anatomy, pathology, medical terminology, and critical thinking.
Adhere to all site-specific guidelines, protocols, and policies outlined by the organization..
Adhere to patient confidentiality policies and HIPAA guidelines.
Maintain a clean and neat work environment at all times.
Ability to work well independently and troubleshoot issues.
Communicates in a positive and timely manner with co-workers, physicians, patients, and visitors.
Ensure compliance with NYSDOH and Federal regulations.
Perform additional duties as required.
We require:
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
At least two years of CT experience, is required. GE CT experience is a plus.
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Registered Technologist (R.T.), required.
New York State Department of Health licensure as a Radiologic Technologist with certification to inject IV contrast, is required.
Maintain BLS certification, required.
Leadership experience in a hospital or health care facility, health care planning, financial planning, operations and analysis, and implementation in an administrative, consultative, managerial or executive capacity (preferred).
CT Certification, ARRT (preferred).
Excellent technical skills: Radiology Systems, Microsoft Office, Google platform, Email.
Ability to communicate effectively with superiors, colleagues, and staff.
Must be able to travel to all west region sites.
Salary is determined by one’s level of experience and education up to $70,000/annually.
