SOUTH CONGRESS HOTEL is hiring for a Marketing Coordinator

The living room for the neighborhood, South Congress Hotel is an 83-room boutique hotel designed to be a hub of activity for the community. A place for travelers and locals alike, the hotel has three restaurants, a coffee bakeshop, rooftop pool, award-winning Lobby Bar, and two retail spaces, in addition to a range of community events programming open to all. All locally owned, all right at the doorstep of Austin's favorite street.

JOB OVERVIEW

South Congress Hotel is located a mile from the Austin Convention Center and walking distance from some of the city’s most iconic venues. 

What you'll do:

A Dishwasher will ensure the cleanliness, sanitation, and stock of items utilized throughout the outlet

Adhere to all standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, training material, memos, and verbal instruction

Maintain a high level of cleanliness in work areas

Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glassware, tableware, and other cooking utensils and place them in racks to send through the dish or glassware machine

Sort and stack clean dishes

Carry clean dishes to proper storage areas

Change dishwater in dish machine as needed

Pick up dirty pots and pans from the line throughout service; wash, dry, and restock items

Wash cooking equipment by hand in the three-compartment sink

Bring trash and recycling to the waste area as needed

Set up and breakdown dishwashing area; ensure proper rinsing, polishing, and de-lyming procedures

Sweep and mop floors in work area

Clean and maintain any spills to ensure kitchen floors remain clean and dry

Notify manager when dish machine wash or rinse cycle falls below safety standard temperature

Ensure open lines of communication with all departments and management via email, logbooks,

meetings, etc. to ensure all needs of the outlet are met

Maintain a high level of cleanliness, sanitation, and safety in the work area

Ensure that all equipment is maintained in good, safe working condition

Maintain an increased awareness of safety issues throughout the property

Keep abreast of safety and emergency procedures and OSHA requirements

Attend relevant meetings as required
