Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide support and assistance to individuals in need of personal care services. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and comfort of our clients.
Duties:
- Provide direct support and assistance to clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding
- Engage in childcare duties, if required
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure client confidentiality
- Respect and uphold resident rights and dignity at all times
- Work with individuals on the autism spectrum to provide necessary care and support
- Provide hospice care to clients nearing end-of-life
- Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks
Requirements:
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred
- Knowledge of patient care techniques and practices
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- High school diploma or equivalent
Note: All positions must be paid, including internship positions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Overnight shift
- Rotating weekends
- Weekends as needed
