QUALIFICATIONS: 

• MA in psychology, MSW, or Ph.D., Psy.D., in psychology from an accredited graduate program, BBS registered. 

• At least two-year clinical experience in intensive services with children and families utilizing trauma-informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. • Minimum one year experience in diagnosing severe/chronic mental illness in children and TAY population; hospital experience a plus. 

• Familiarity with electronic health records system and DMH documentation desired. 

• Some experience providing home based counseling service working with multiple-issue families (e.g. unemployment, poverty, substance abuse, homelessness). 

• Strong interest in providing clinic and home based, if needed, culturally relevant counseling services with and within a multidisciplinary treatment team. • Commitment to providing community outreach and psychoeducation to multi-cultural population. Fluency in Spanish highly desirable; occasional evening hours. 

JOB SUMMARY Active member of PIER Program Multidisciplinary Team working on developing community outreach directed at educating and empowering community members to recognize clinical high risk signs in the target population of adolescents and young adults between the ages of 12 and 25. Provide treatment to referred clients within the context of PIER Program Multidisciplinary Team including individual cognitive behavioral therapy for psychosis, multifamily groups, collaborating with psychiatric, case management, occupational and peer support services. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 • As PIER Team member, actively participate and engage in community outreach to identify schools, service providers, cultural and religious organizations, etc., that have contacts with youth 12-25 years of age, provide psychoeducation on recognizing symptoms of risk for psychosis to facilitate referrals for services

 • Collaborate with PIER Team in screening, enrolling and assessing clients’ needs; conduct full clinical assessment in collaboration with psychiatric supports 

• Facilitate development of clients’ crisis and safety plan, provide crisis intervention to clients on an as-needed basis. 

• Develop and implement treatment plan for each assigned client based on the individual needs and as discussed and reviewed regularly with the PIER Multidisciplinary Team during twice a week case treatment review meetings 

• Provide individual and family therapy, multi-family and group treatment to children and TAY age clients with clinical high risk for psychosis and/or with severe emotional difficulties. • Collaborate and coordinate treatment with supportive services which may include Occupational Therapy to help support educational or employment goals, case management for linkage to social services and peer support in the needed areas

 • Deliver services in clinic or home/community setting as appropriate and desired by clients adhering to the fidelity of PIER Model • Attend and actively participate in all PIER Program trainings • Provide group treatment, parent support groups, parenting psycho-education classes as assigned. 

• Participate in PIER Program staff meetings, monthly Clinical Department meetings and other meetings as appropriate within the PIER Program fidelity including EP Learning Network and monthly Service Area Advisory Committee (SAAC) meetings. • Maintain client information in a confidential manner

. • Maintain client charts in a responsible manner and meet all paperwork deadlines requirements.

 • Maintain productivity rate at required Agency standards.

 • Comply with the Agency guidelines, policies and procedures. • Comply with applicable professional licensing or certification requirements and ethical standards.

 • Arrange work schedule of required hours to the benefit of the PIER Program requirements and clients with the approval of the Supervisor ENVIRONMENT Service delivery may take place in a variety of environments, including the home setting, community agencies, schools, public transportation, or individual personal vehicles.
