Founded in 1975, The Help Group is the largest, most innovative and comprehensive nonprofit of its kind in the United States serving children with special needs related to autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, learning disabilities, developmental delays, abuse and emotional problems. Its broad range of mental health and therapy services and residential programs extends its reach to more than 6,000 children and their families each year. 

Wraparound is an innovative program designed to maintain at-risk children in their homes and avoid placement in institutions or other restrictive settings. Wraparound assists families in acquiring the skills and resources they need to raise their children in safe, healthy and nurturing homes.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree in social services, psychology, or related field or BS/BA with 3 years of direct work experience and a minimum of 1 year supervisory experience 
  • Minimum of two years in community-based social service program specific to emotionally disturbed children and adults; experience facilitating the Wraparound process including the development of Plan of Care Matrix, Family Safety Plan and coordination of services with multiple providers
  • Knowledge and understanding of the role of Child and Family Specialist (CFS) and Parent Partner, experience in the area of community resources, community collaboration, parenting skills, ability to oversee Wraparound FFs, CFSs and Parent Partners and ensure collaboration with Parent Partner Institute Trainings, etc.
  • Knowledge and skills in the areas group and family activities facilitation, or group and family therapy; experience with DMH paperwork required. 
  • Knowledge and experience executing Wraparound outcome measure. 
  • Knowledge of DMH, DCFS and Probation Department regulations

JOB SUMMARY

Under the supervision of Director of Intensive Family Services and in close collaboration with the Wraparound Clinical Supervisor, coordinates the development of the Child and Family Teams and the implementation of the individualized family plans. Facilitates monitoring and evaluation of required documentation including signing off on DMH progress notes. Supervises directly FFs, CFSs and Parent Partners across SPA 2; my provide supervisory assistance in other SPAs, if needed. Ensures close collaboration between Parent Partners and Parent Partner Training Institute and implementation of Parent Support Groups inclusive of community participation concept. Collaborates with Clinical Supervisor on implementation and timely completion of all required documentation including all outcome measures per contractual obligations.

 RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Apply well developed Wraparound planning skills that most effectively utilize teaming approach to service delivery while judicially managing Flex Funds and community resources.
  • Train facilitators, parent partners and other staff, as needed, in advanced facilitation skills; act as a resource about documentation requirements including review of progress notes.
  • Provide mentoring and coaching to assigned staff to ensure contractual compliance.
  • Ensure team approach to Wraparound planning process and work in close collaboration with providers of mental health services to secure Wraparound services within the framework of Core Practice Model and adherence to Wraparound principles.
  • Interface with DCFS, DMH, Probation, court systems, schools, and other community liaisons to increase referrals and enhance seamless service coordination. 
  • Collaborate with Wraparound Clinical Supervisor to help staff meet productivity levels on a consistent basis and ensure appropriate and timely completion of all required documentation. 
  • Work in close collaboration with the Administrative Coordinator and Outcomes and Evaluations Specialist to ensure all administrative requirements are met.
  • Ensure correct and timely completion of all outcome evaluation measures data and prepare reports, as needed, to enhance quality of service. 
  • Participate in 24-hour on-call schedule, as needed; provide 24-hour crisis intervention. 
  • Attend regularly scheduled staff meetings, case reviews, supervision, agency wide meetings and other meetings as assigned. 
  • Facilitate relationships with community resources and attend community meetings as assigned by the Director.
  • Provide needed information for reports to the Administrative Coordinator
  • Comply with Agency guidelines, policies and procedures.
  • Comply with applicable professional licensing certification requirements and ethical standards.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Salary Range:$70,000 - $80,000
