Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Childcare Assistant to join our team. As a Childcare Assistant, you will be responsible for creating a safe and nurturing environment for children under your care. Your role will involve providing educational activities, ensuring the well-being of each child, and promoting their social and emotional development.

Responsibilities:

- Create a safe and stimulating environment for children

- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities

- Provide basic care such as feeding, diapering, and naptime routines

- Monitor children's behavior and intervene when necessary

- Foster positive relationships with children and their families

- Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's progress

- Collaborate with other childcare providers to ensure a cohesive and supportive environment

- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times

Requirements:

- Previous experience working with children in a childcare setting

- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices

- Ability to engage children in educational and recreational activities

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children

- Ability to multitask and handle stressful situations calmly

- Certification in CPR and First Aid (preferred)

- High school diploma or equivalent (required)

- Additional certifications in early childhood education or related field (preferred)

Skills:

- Educate children through age-appropriate activities

- Provide care for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-aged children

- Experience working with students in a classroom or daycare setting

- Nannying or caregiving experience is a plus

- Knowledge of classroom management techniques
