The Catalyst Child Care Program strives to provide sound Biblical principles and Christian values within a Christian environment. All, while providing developmentally appropriate programs of learning and growth for young children in a safe and nurturing environment.

We are looking for a Part-Time team member who will work with two-year-olds in the afternoon hours.

Job Description:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Flexibility for scheduling purposes including working until 5:30 pm.
• A positive, friendly and "can-do" attitude.
• Create a wholesome, loving, Christian atmosphere in the center at all times and in keeping with the stated Mission of the Child Care.
• Assist the Lead Teacher and closely supervise and engage with children, at all times, in the classroom, the building, and on playgrounds.
• Assist in planning and implementation of lesson plans and curriculum as well as preparation of all materials and equipment for the day/afternoon.
• Assist in providing age-appropriate activities, discipline, and expectations.
• Adhere to curriculum, goals, daily schedules, and expectations assigned by the Lead Teacher, Directors, and/or Supervisors.
• Assist with daily devotions and blessings.
• Assist and help supervise nap time (including putting cots out and away), mealtime, and snacks.
• Manage bathroom care and changing of clothes/diapers.
• Complete and report any incident and/or Boo-Boo reports to parents and office staff.
• Assist Lead and other teachers in communication and preparing children for pickup.
• Perform housekeeping duties such as cleaning the classroom.
• Open/Close classrooms as needed.
• Attend and participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events as required.
• Take direction from other teachers, Director, Assistant Director, and Supervisors.
• Assistant Teachers are expected to help in any given classroom when needed.
• Any other duties assigned.
• Part-time staff will work 12:00/12:30-close each day 5:30, Monday-Friday.

Candidates are required to have:

• A current criminal background check through the NC Department of Health and Human Services
• A current physical examination and tuberculosis (TB) test/screening

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $9.00 - $10.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 28 per week
