Primary duties include site due diligence, researching bylaws, site civil and stormwater design, creation of plan sets, permit applications, and due diligence associated with the entitlement of energy systems. There will be opportunities to gain experience in meeting with the local towns, as well as presenting to planning/zoning boards, state, and federal agencies.
This position may be filled out of our Lowell, MA, Boston, MA, or Chicago, IL offices. We value in-person collaboration and offer a hybrid work environment. Hybrid employees work in the office at least two out of every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and are free to work from the office or from home on other days.
Position responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Conduct site due diligence (including through site visits and the completion of a Site Walk Checklist), research permitting paths, and draft civil consultation memos;
  • Prepare site plans (Site Plan Review, Special Permit/Variance/Notices of Intent) for submission to authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs);
  • Analyze and prepare Stormwater Management Reports in support of projects using HYDROCAD;
  • Prepare SWPPP documentation (plans and narrative) and submit eNOI's;
  • Assist in the development of standard details, notes, and specifications and reviewing design drawings;
  • Coordinate the proposal and work of our survey partners;

  • As needed, accompany senior engineers to meetings with local planning/zoning boards and with state agencies and other entities;
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
