Larson is seeking talented engineers for a position in our Civil department.

Description

The ideal candidate for this position will provide efficient and detailed work. They will be responsible for the development and completion of proposals, permits, construction drawings and specifications, cost estimates, and reports. Projects will be related to:

• Commercial and residential green sites or additions,
• Solar and other energy markets,
• Educational and religious institutions,
• Existing commercial site assessments,
• Site and roadway infrastructure improvements,
• Other civil-related projects.

This position will also be responsible for coordinating site inspections and observations, as needed.

Basic Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• Five or more years of civil site design or municipal experience.
• P.E. or ability to obtain P.E.
• Expertise with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or MicroStation.Experience with HydroCAD, StormCAD, and/or Pondpack and preparation of hydraulic reports
• Success with permitting through MWRD, IDNR, USACE, IEPA, IDOT, and other municipal or state agencies.
• Knowledgeable of IAC, ADA, and associated building design requirements.
• MS Office experience (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Self-motivated and strong attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• IDOT Phase I, II, or III project experience and/or certifications through IDOT.
• CFM certification,
• Experience with construction observation and utilizing various surveying equipment.
