New Hope Village is Hiring a DSP Activities, Communication, Therapy and Support Near Carroll, IA
We are hiring for DSPs to work in the day program for ICF, known as Day ACTS. You will work 8:30 - 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday and every 3rd weekend from 6 a.m. - 2 p.m. In this program you will be working with individuals daily providing person-centered supports during Day ACTS and also in their homes on campus during lunch time and after programming. This role assists with providing activities to build or maintain skills, individual advocacy, providing daily range of motion exercises, individual transfers, nutrition support and activities of daily living. In addition, this role will work with other staff in the homes to maintain a safe and health environment, assist with coverage during weather and emergency situations, communicate with team members as well as families and the public professionally and courteously and implement the mission of New Hope. Applicants must be 16 years of age, able to read, write and speak English effectively. DSP's must complete New Hope Safety Cares course, have CPR Certification or obtain certification within 3 months of hire, complete Dependent Adult/Child Abuse Mandatory reporting course.
