The Mailroom Specialist works to support and ensure the company’s and members’ mail needs are effectively managed on a daily basis.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receive, log, and organize all incoming mail for members, according to the member’s assigned team
  • Obtain signatures from members before mail distribution
  • Supervise members opening mail to ensure facility and member safety
  • Postmark and prepare all members’ outgoing mail
  • Organize and file all graduates’ mail and hold until they arrive to pick-up
  • Mark return to sender on all mail that is for members who have been discharged
  • Maintain strong communication with mentors, Mentorship, and other department staff to ensure that outgoing mail is postmarked and sent in a timely and effective manner
  • Scan each letter, lesson, and/or document(s) received from mentees, effectively uploading to the appropriate CRM account
  • Create new CRM accounts and scan in letters for first-time mentees
  • Keep daily log to account for all letters sent to prisons, in addition to logging any/all mail received from mentees who are currently incarcerated
  • Receive and file all mail for potential NF intakes who have not yet arrived at facility, organizing the mail according to release date
  • Deliver NF/NFP mail to appropriate the NF departments and/or staff
  • Assist staff with issuance and/or fulfillment of supplies as needed
  • In addition, all other duties as assigned

Experience

Required
