Requirements

SUMMARY: The Account Executive is responsible for generating revenue through the sale of products and services, while maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will possess technical and sales skills while working with assigned accounts and bringing new business to New Era Technology in a manner consistent with our reputation, as well as enhancing it. The candidate will work to deepen and widen their relationship with accounts while searching to discover additional opportunities for our wide suite of solutions. Excellent communication and relationship building skills and the ability to learn and understand the various New Era Technology offerings are key requirements of this position. Experience with Information Technology, audio/visual, security and collaboration solution technologies will be beneficial to the candidate.

PRIMARY DUTIES include but not limited to: Account Executive shall be responsible for cultivating and managing sales opportunities in specified markets and designated geographical territory.

· Confer with existing and potential customers regarding needs and advise customers on types of solutions available to solve issues and other New Era offerings for the benefit of the client

· Effectively manage and maintain current account relationships

· Review operational records and provide input for reports to project sales funnel and determine profitability

· Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer information and sales activity in CRM tool

· Effectively present (strategic account) information to executive management team

· Effectively communicate between internal departments and management as needed to facilitate effective client relationships related to project fulfilment and for operations team support

· Represent the Company at trade shows, trade association and client meetings to promote products/solutions/services as assigned

· Assist in resolving customer complaints or issues regarding sales and service

· Confer or consult with department heads to plan advertising services, secure information on products/solutions, and customer required specifications

· Provide information to third parties as directed by management to drive solution designs and offered services for specific client projects

· Prospecting / Networking activities within assigned market(s).

· Generating compelling proposals consistent with corporate standards and adhere to provided templates and formats for such or as approved by management

· Product demonstrations (on-site and off-site)

· Completing all required sales and activities reports

· Attending sales meetings as required.

· Attend corporate and product training sessions/seminars and any assigned training activities as assigned by management

· Provide oversight of service and support of all assigned customers to ensure client satisfaction

SECONDARY DUTIES: Account Executive shall

· Work with internal support teams and management on the closing of business opportunities

· Participate in companywide projects & promotion (e.g., trade shows, etc.) 

COMPENTENCIES

· An aggressive, energetic, self-starter with a skill set in solution and relationship sales

· Proven history of technical abilities as well as developing and maintaining strong customer relationships at the enterprise level, including competence and confidence in presenting at the Director, VP and C-level

· Excellent networking, presentation, and communications skills

· Excellent computer skills, including a strong familiarity with the Microsoft Platform, use of CRM software and understanding of technology trends and solutions within the Information Technology, Unified Communications, security and audio-visual marketplace.

PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 3 years’ experience in outside sales, ideally in a technology-focused sales role.

EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK: Office hours for business communication are 8am-5pm. Additional time maybe required based upon opportunities, client needs, client entertainment, and other related work.

TRAVEL: Regionally in assigned geography or territory; some activities may require travel and, to be effective, some overnight travel could be possible.
