New England Conservatory of Music is Hiring a Multimedia Producer Near Boston, MA

JOB SUMMARY

New England Conservatory (NEC) is seeking a talented and innovative Multimedia Producer to join the dynamic Marketing, Communications & External Relations team. Reporting directly to the VP of Marketing, Communications, and External Relations, the Multimedia Producer will lead the creation of compelling visual content, including videography and photography. This individual will play a key role in enhancing NEC's brand and contributing to strategic goals by developing engaging content for various platforms, including social media, web, print, and promotional materials. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for the arts and education as well as a strong creative vision.

Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize, plan, shoot, and edit multimedia projects — including short and long-form video, social video, and still photography to support NEC's goals and initiatives.
  • Produce high-quality, visually captivating content for use across a variety of marketing channels, including social media, website, email, digital platforms, and print materials.
  • Ensure timely and thorough coverage of events and performances, shooting these events and distributing selects for immediate use
  • Stay abreast of social media trends, specs, and best practices to optimize content engagement and reach by platform, aligned with content calendar.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues across campus to understand project goals and ensure multimedia content aligns with NEC's brand identity and messaging.
  • Manage and maintain NEC's video and photo library, ensuring organization, accessibility, and proper archiving of assets.
  • Provide creative input and contribute to the development of multimedia strategies and campaigns.
  • Enhance photos as needed through color correction, retouching, and preparation for different campaigns and channels.
  • Utilize advanced video editing techniques to enhance the quality and visual appeal of multimedia content, including precise timing, transitions, effects, and sound design.
  • Identify and maintain a library of NEC musical performances suitable for marketing purposes and licensing requirements.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to student interns and colleagues across campus.
  • Manage relevant relationships with contractors and consultants.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends in support of performances, admissions events, academic ceremonies, and other initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications - All applicants must submit a portfolio of work to be considered for this role

  • Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of relevant experience in photography, video, multimedia production, or relevant area.
  • Strong project management skills and experience working with internal stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of digital SLR and mirrorless cameras.
  • Strong photo and video editing skills and knowledge of video formats.
  • Adobe Creative Suite including but not limited to Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects,
  • Demonstrate a strong sense of professionalism and discretion.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of music, musicians, and higher education institutions preferred.
  • Enthusiasm for the arts and arts education.
