Busy Neurology office seeks a Bilingual (English / Spanish) medical assistant at our Kendall office.

RESPONSIBILITIES: (Quick overview)Greets patients, serves as a liaison between patient and physician.

SCHEDULE:Monday - Friday some Saturdays

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

• Answer incoming calls in a courteous & professional manner
• Welcoming patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone, answering inquires.
• Scheduling appointments in person or by telephone according to office policies.
• Greeting patients & visitors in a prompt, courteous and helpful manner.
• Strong computer skills, EMR proficiency
• Obtain medical records for doctor to review
• Collect co-pay and/or payments according to insurance plan when needed
• Collect referral/authorization when it is required & provide patients with referral information.
• Maintain work area neat and in an orderly manner.
• Participate in staff & educational meetings.
• Applicants must have the ability to learn and practice office procedures, policies and protocols
• Applicants are required to have a command of the English and Spanish language and be proficient with grammar, spelling and verbal skills in order to communicate with patient, providers and staff in written and oral communications
