JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for planning product supply to meet demand requirements per the Demand forecast. The Supply Planner is assigned to suppliers and fully responsible for the day by day interaction related to purchase orders, pricing, reverse logistics and any other potential exceptions.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS –

Scope: • This position reports to SCM Manager. • No direct staff. Annual • Expenses/Revenues: Plan supply to support $500M in sales with an average monthly inventory value of $10M Education & Experience: Degree required/preferred • Bachelor degree preferred (major in – SCM or Business Admin a plus) • 5-7 years of business experience preferred with an emphasis on supply chain, customer service, logistics and/or related field • Extensive Database / System Skills required: (1) SAP, Cognos, MacroPSI, Genpact (2) Advanced MS Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Office365 & demonstrate aptitude to learn new systems • High level of creativity and complexity to research and recommend solutions based on data analysis, evaluating alerts, and business concepts • Experience in dealing with high pressure & critical issues while maintaining professional attitude and performance. Problem Solving: Complexity of problems ● Medium to High complexity Communications: Key communications contacts (internal/external) and level of persuasion required ● Collaboration: with Product, Sales, Operations, Shared Services, and 3rd parties and Domains to meet ever-changing and demanding needs ● Internal coordination: Responsible for coordinating across all roles in the supply chain to achieve goals

5% - Supply Planning:

  • Based on latest demand and supply information, transactional data, historical data, and internal data, prepare analysis of latest supply issues and constraints along with countermeasures.
  • Utilize tools and methodologies to review purchases and identify exception alerts to replenishment plan
  • Develop purchase plan and coordinate with merchandising based on factory ATP’s for replenishment to meet demand forecast within budgeted inventory levels
  • Provide timely updates to all PO’s from factory and work in partnership with logistics teams to ensure proper receipt of supply to match current plans.
  • Work in partnership with demand, sales and logistics to identify supply issues and ensure smooth product life cycle planning to support demand planning and fulfillment
  • Work in partnerships with sales, channel support staff and product management for creation and monitoring of direct shipments, direct import, and other fulfillment issues as needed.
  • Manage stock levels and stock provisions in conjunction with demand planning, suppliers and distribution partners to ensure adequate inventory is available to fulfill customer demand, while minimizing inventory costs.
  • Perform root cause corrective action
  • Establish critical inventory parameters considering constraints and input, such as lead time and order cycle time.
  • Provide visibility to product back orders, short stock, excess and/or slow-moving inventory.
  • Manage day to day product allocation and Inventory transfers based on sales team forecast, product availability and customer demand requirements as well as strategic placement of product at HQ / Channel Partners

35% - Cross Departmental Collaboration/Reporting:

  • Collaborate with all necessary departments (Merchandising, sales, logistics, domains, 3rd party Factories, etc.) in working on projects, or implementing new process
  • Work closely and regularly with the specialty demand teams to ensure supply is in proper locations
  • Work side-by-side with Demand, Sales, and Merchandising teams during all PSI activities within in IO system vs. MacroPSI PSI for accuracy.
  • Function as key contact for all supply inquiries, including but not limited to specific project status, product availability, forecasts, pricing, product constraints, introduction, or discontinuation.
  • Keep Sales, Channel Support and accounting notified of product transition / replacement, price change, EOL, constraint, aging inventory, or other issues day to day.
  • Track and report daily/weekly/monthly incoming supply and inventory activities and results.

20% - Material Master Data Mgmt.

  • Maintain master data for all assigned materials to support planning and execution across all systems. (SAP, MacroPSI, Cognos, Genpact).
  • When maintenance is done in other organizational groups, act as the facilitator to planning and execution. (SAP, PSI, VMI, Logistics, Web, Accounting, UMM Prod. Reg.)
  • Initiate both the creation and removal of SKU set up in all systems based on current or discontinuation notices.
  • Notify all related parties of product transition as well as supply replacement products.
