Nemours is seeking an Intern (Information Systems/Enterprise Data Solutions), Part-Time, to join our Nemours Children's Health team in Jacksonville, Florida. 

This is a great opportunity for a student studying Information Systems to get a broad introduction to IT support and the Healthcare industry.

The Information Systems Intern position is open for student interns with an educational concentration in Management of Information Systems, Computer Science or other related field. The purpose of this internship is to prepare college students for entry into the business world by providing an introductory understanding of Information Systems functions including theory and practical application of attained knowledge.

This position will support various Information Systems administrative and technical activities as identified by the department/team the intern is assigned to. 

• Learn and develop practical skills in information technology specific to the hiring department/team.
• Assist with daily support of existing solutions, which may include modifying, testing, validating, and documenting system changes. Adheres to normal change control processes for these activities.
• Assist with day to day system administration of various solutions which may include performance tuning, system monitoring, problem investigation, and application upgrades.
• Assist Information Systems associates with projects, which may include coordination of project plan activities; ensuring timely and effective communication between all members of the project team regarding daily status and issues; and preparing go live and sign off documents and processes.
• Help to identify process and procedural issues and may suggest potential solutions.
• Assist in updating user and technical documentation.

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma required. College enrollment preferred.
• Clear analytical thinking, problem solving and able to respond to issues in a calm, responsive manner.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to prioritize and make decisions.
