NCCF is Hiring a Clinical Director Near Bethesda, MD

PURPOSE: To provide clinical oversight, consultation, and supervision to the Residence program, a Qualified Residential Treatment Program (QRTP).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ensures a consistent therapeutic program by conveying clear treatment philosophy through effective supervision, the maintenance of program standards, and professional practices.
  • Monitors the Clinical Team’s compliance with annual and required training hours and certifications in accordance with state regulations and NCCF policies.
  • Ensures implementation of group, individual, and family treatment by the clinical treatment team in accordance with treatment model and recommended evidence-based practices.
  • Conducts detailed and comprehensive assessment of individuals and their family systems in order to support the clinical team with implementing interventions and treatment planning.
  • Reviews and provides final approval of all Individual Treatment Plans for each resident and ensures compliance and implementation of each Individual Treatment Plans.
  • Reviews and approves all staffing and court reports, initial assessments, family treatment plans, and discharge summaries for each resident completed by members of the Clinical team.
  • Functions as a senior member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team in monitoring compliance and implementation of the residents’ individual treatment plans and provides consultation to team members regarding intervention strategies for working with residents.
  • Monitors and ensures all documentation regarding the clinical services and treatment of residents are up to date and in compliance with state regulations and NCCF practices.
  • Provides regular supervision (individual and group), orientation and training of Mental Health Therapist, Recreational Therapist, Behavioral Technician, Care Coordinators, Contract Psychiatrist, Nursing Staff, and Social Work interns.
  • Provides oversight and monitoring of individual and group behavioral interventions (peer groups, therapy sessions, treatment planning, etc.) to improve the emotional well-being of residents.
  • Facilitates integration of the GAP Childcare Team to enhance their current knowledge and understanding of residents’ behaviors and triggers to assist the GAP Childcare Team with planning and implementing appropriate childcare interventions.
  • Provide oversight of the contracted Psychiatrist in order to review of invoices and submission of purchase orders to the Program Director. Also collaborate and consult with the contracted Psychiatrist regarding recommended residents’ progress with psychiatric interventions and needs.
  • Provides oversight of the Nursing Team to understand the long term and immediate medical needs of residents to ensure the optimal health outcomes are met by the program.
  • Participate in mandatory staff activities and meetings.


Non-Essential Functions:
  • Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with two years supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge and skill in clinical treatment, administration, supervision, program implementation, and training techniques. Ability to speak and write with clarity.
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of theories and principles of human growth and development; broad working knowledge relative to the needs of emotionally disturbed, victimized, learning disabled, behavioral disordered adolescents and their family systems.
  • Ability to lead and motivate mental health therapist and social work interns serving diverse and difficult youths and their families, under stressful circumstances.
  • Must possess an attitude compatible with the goals and purposes of the National Center for Children and Families mission.


Physical Demands/Work Environment:

While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers to handle or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Vision abilities required y this job require close vision working with a computer monitor. While performing the duties of this job, employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
