Navigator Credit Union is Hiring a Branch Manager Near MOBILE, AL

Description

Navigator Credit Union is currently recruiting for a full time Branch Manager. DUTIES: 

  • The branch manager is responsible for improving the member service experience to ensure member loyalty and membership growth. 
  • Responsible for leading, coaching and developing the team to meet/exceed member expectations in a fast-paced, high-demand environment. 
  • Possesses a thorough understanding of exceptional member experience skills, extensive problem resolution skills, financial sales support, and lending knowledge. 
  • Encourages and motivates the team to achieve established performance goals and expectations. 
  • Takes ownership of tasks and expectations set by the Regional Branch Administrators to reduce friction points for staff and members.
  • Responsible for directing team to maximize productivity and efficiency, including: directing job assignments, monitoring staff performance, coaching, counseling, skill development, assuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational mission, values, policies and work rules. 
  • Appraise performance and provide recommendations for staff promotion and termination as appropriate. 
  • Develops staff by providing information, education and growth opportunities. 
  • Troubleshoots and resolves internal and external inquiries. 
  • Community and Business outreach is discretionary for management based on branch performance needs.
  • Prepare month-end management reports as necessary
  • Submits Facility requests for office and grounds maintenance needs.
  • Responsible to ensure team achieves loan production and growth goals.
  • Ensures personnel are well trained in all phases of their respective jobs. 
  • Completes orientation of new employees in overall branch procedures. Actively participates in cross-training personnel and assures staff is kept up to date of all products and services. 
  • Conducts security training for the branch and acts as primary Security Officer for the branch. Conducts required security meetings with staff to ensure compliance. 
  • Opens and closes the building in accordance with set hours and tests security equipment quarterly.
  • Ensures personnel are well trained in all phases of their respective jobs. 
  • Ensures all branch transactions are balanced at the close of each day. Oversees individual accountability for the handling of cash and assists in resolving balancing problems.
  • Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor. 

EDUCATION

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. Secondary education preferred.
  • Three-five years of previous experience managing a team preferred.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to supervise, monitor, coach and evaluate the work of others. 
  • Ability to meet or exceed established sales goals for self and for team. 
  • Requires clear and professional communication in writing, in person, and on the telephone. 
  • The ability to communicate efficiently to all levels of the organization is vital to fulfill the job responsibilities of this position. 
  • Maintains proficiency with Microsoft Office products. 
  • Proven ability to be accurate and attentive to detail.
  • Ability to use analysis to solve problems.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment while maintaining the ability to prioritize workload. 
  • Must possess a pleasant, distinct disposition that reflects an enthusiastic, helpful attitude. 

ADA REQUIREMENTS:

Physical Requirements

Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs. must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.

Working Conditions

Must be able to routinely preform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise.

Mental and/or Emotional Requirements

Must be able to perform job functions independently or with limited supervision and work effectively either on own or as part of a team. Must be able to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions. Must be able to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence. Must be capable of dealing calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization and demonstrate highest levels of customer service and discretion when dealing with the public. Must be able to perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines / requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and/or fast pace. Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities. Must be capable of exercising highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters.
