Naval Education and Training Command is Hiring an OPERATIONS RESEARCH ANALYST Near Point, CA

Qualifications:

Applicants must meet the following Basic Requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must possess: Degree in operations research; or at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus.

GS-09:
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Adapting analytical practices and techniques to specific situations and adjusting and relate data into technically sound results; 2) Using automated systems and computer programs to accomplish projects, designs, plans, and reports; and 3) Writing factual reports, correspondence, and documentation as well as demonstrating skill in oral communication. GS-07:
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Assisting with mathematical, statistical or scientific analysis of data in support of operations; 2) Assisting with analyzing data to develop solutions to problems; 3) Assisting in identifying the correct mathematical or statistical model to use for a project; and 4) Developing written reports that detail results of analyses performed.
