Description

The Marina Manager plays a vital role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our marina facility. This position is responsible for ensuring the safety and satisfaction of marina guests, managing staff, and maintaining the facility in optimal condition.

Responsibilities:

• Marina Operations: Oversee all aspects of marina operations, including dock maintenance, fueling, boat storage, and rentals.
• Guest Services: Provide excellent customer service to marina guests, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive experience.
• Staff Management: Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise marina staff, including dockhands, maintenance personnel, and administrative staff.
• Safety Compliance: Implement and enforce safety protocols, ensuring compliance with boating regulations, and conducting regular safety drills.
• Financial Management: Prepare and manage the marina budget, monitor expenses, and optimize revenue through slip rentals, fuel sales, and other services.
• Vendor Relations: Coordinate with suppliers and contractors for marina maintenance and improvements.
• Environmental Stewardship: Promote and adhere to environmental best practices to maintain water quality and protect local ecosystems.
• Marketing and Promotion: Develop and execute marketing strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
• Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to emergencies, including accidents, storms, and other incidents, following established protocols.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and permits related to marina operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business management, hospitality, or a related field (preferred).
• Proven experience in marina management or a related field.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Exceptional customer service and communication abilities.
• Knowledge of boating regulations and safety procedures.
• Financial acumen and budget management experience.
• Proficiency in marina management software and technology.
• Problem-solving skills and adaptability to changing situations.
• Environmental awareness and commitment to sustainable practices.
• Boating and watercraft handling experience (preferred).

Position Type:

This is a full-time position with variable hours, including weekends and holidays, to accommodate marina operations.
