Natural Lands Trust Inc is Hiring a Development Coordinator Near Media, PA

The Development Coordinator provides administrative support for Natural Lands’ Development Department and direct assistance to the Vice President of Development. As an integral member of a fast-paced and highly motivated team, the Development Coordinator is a key liaison—executing projects that engage multiple team members and providing exceptional internal and external customer service to help ensure day-to-day and long-term success in meeting the department’s overarching strategic priorities of raising philanthropic revenue and advancing donor relations.

Support for the Vice President of Development

  • Provides the Vice President of Development with administrative support and project management assistance—including meeting scheduling, gift acknowledgements, general correspondence, and special projects as assigned.
  • Updates the Vice President’s donor visit notes, actions, and background information in the department’s Raiser’s Edge database and helps monitor and maintain the Vice President’s prospect and donor pipeline.
  • Arranges and manages donor visits—ranging from virtual to catered meetings—involving the Vice President of Development and other organizational leaders.
  • Assists with research and advance preparation for donor calls and visits.

Support for Leadership Groups and Committees

  • Helps manage correspondence and communications--including meeting scheduling, registration tracking, meeting packet production, and minute-taking—for the Board of Trustees’ Development and Campaign Committees.
  • Assists with preparations (including correspondence, communications, and coordination), day-of production, and follow-up associated with the biannual, half-day President’s Council meetings.
  • Assists with preparations for two in-person NextGen Council meetings annually.

Development Department Support

  • Maintains Development Department production calendar to support outbound mailings.
  • Organizes and supports the Development Team’s production and distribution of solicitations, acknowledgement letters, event invitations, proposals, donor reports, member and donor premiums, and other correspondence.
  • Provides proofreading and full-run quality control—from letter templates to letter merges, signature production, scanning, envelopes, and mailing— 
  • to ensure correspondence and collateral adhere to both Development Department and Natural Lands standards.
  • Manages regularly scheduled volunteer days to assist with outbound production of materials and other development needs.
  • Supports layout and distribution in Raiser’s Edge Online Express for Development Department-generated mass email communications.
  • Maintains donor database records related to gift acknowledgement and other donor information.
  • Provides excellent customer service for general development-related inquiries—guaranteeing a positive experience and recording donor and prospect actions.
  • Assists with preparation for high-profile development events—including registration lists, nametags, event materials, event-related correspondence, supply ordering, set-up and clean-up, and other event-related roles as assigned.
  • Oversees the inventory of department-related assets including paper and envelope supplies, donor premiums, and printed promotional items.
