POSITION SUMMARY:
The Adult Mental Health Manager - Clinic Sites has clinical and administrative / operational oversight over Mental Health Therapists, Behavioral Health Consultants, and specialty Case Management services (e.g., Elder, Peer Support, etc.) at NARA NW’s integrated health clinic sites. Facilitates and supervises the development and implementation of mental health services for individuals and families. Implements and coordinates workflows (e.g., BHC, SBIRT, etc.), including tracking outcomes-based care (ACORN) implementation. Provides clinical and administrative supervision for direct service staff. Provides direct service to a small number of clients as needed.
- New employee orientation and training.
- Supervise counselors and oversee their day-to-day activities.
- Provide culturally appropriate clinical consultation and advocacy to enhance care of Native American & Alaska Native individuals and families.
- Develop protocols for communication, referral, consultation, documentation, data collection and report-writing.
- Facilitate regular team meetings. Participate in agency and interagency meetings.
- Develop, implement, and promote culturally appropriate mental health treatment for Native Americans diagnosed with mental health and alcohol and drug disorders.
- Promote outreach activities and other agency services.
- Function as a member of the Mental Health and Alcohol & Drug Teams.
- Participate in quality assurance activities including chart review.
- Participate in hiring process and performance evaluation of team members.
- Attend as well as develop and deliver relevant trainings as assigned.
- Meet regularly with Program Director for supervision as needed.
- Provide consultation in crises and on-call services, as needed.
- Documented successful program development, direct care, supervision skills.
- Documented effectiveness in presenting ideas, transmitting information, conveying concepts to individuals or groups of people of varying educational, cultural and experience levels.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Attend relevant training as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree in social work, Psychology or Counseling. Meet minimum requirements as a QHMP.
- Licensure as LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or RN.
- Five years supervisory experience.
- Alcohol and Drug Certification, a plus.
- Minimum two years' experience serving the mental health needs of adults, children, and families.
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries with clients, the community, and other staff members.
- Work collaboratively with clients, other NARA NW staff, team members, and to always treat everyone with respect and dignity.
- Experience working within the Native American/Alaska Native community is considered a plus.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment or for cause drug tests.
- Ability to pass criminal background and DMV checks.
- Mental Health Therapists must be able to pass a CRIMS finger printing and background check.
