Summary of Position:

As a Compounding Pharmacy Technician, you will collaborate with pharmacists to ensure the delivery of safe and suitable pharmacy services to our patients, adhering closely to the protocols and guidelines set forth by Nationwide Compounding Rx, state regulations, and relevant regulatory bodies. Operating under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you will primarily work within the clean room environment, meticulously compounding medications. With expertise across all facets of medication compounding, you will assume a pivotal role in coordinating patient services effectively.

• Demonstrates proficiency in nonsterile compounding, strictly adhering to USP 795/800 guidelines.
• Ensures compounds are prepared precisely as per master formulas and in compliance with USP< 795>, USP < 797>, and USP< 800>.
• Follows Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), USP regulations, and company safety policies meticulously, including double-checking calculations and documenting compounding processes, ingredient lot, and expiry details.
• Collaborates with fellow pharmacy team members to compound preparations and conduct quality assurance checks, ensuring adherence to SOPs.
• Takes responsibility for the inspection, maintenance, cleaning, and sterilization of all laboratory equipment, instruments, utensils, and work surfaces necessary for preparations.
• Monitors and documents inventory levels of chemicals, materials, consumables, and other essential items.
• Adheres strictly to company policies and procedures, and maintains equipment functionality by following operational instructions diligently.

Qualifications:

• CPhT certification approved by the State Board of Pharmacy in Arizona
• 1 year of experience as a Certified Pharmacy Technician
• 1 year of sterile compounding lab or non-sterile compounding lab experience
