Nationalities Service Center is Hiring a Donor Database Administrator Near Philadelphia, PA

Nationalities Service Center (NSC) serves more than 5,000 immigrants and refugees each year from over 110 countries. We provide comprehensive services in immigration law matters, community transition and integration, access to health and wellness, language access and proficiency, and job readiness training for immigrants and refugees. As a 501(c)(3), NSC currently has 100 full-time and part-time employees. Our revenue mix includes public grants and contracts, foundation grants, individual donations, fees for service, corporate sponsorships, and earned revenue. Headquartered in Center City, Philadelphia, PA, we are currently operating a hybrid remote office schedule.

Job Summary

The Donor Database Administrator will ensure that NSC’s donor data is accurate and actionable. This individual will contribute to the success of NSC’s fundraising efforts by giving each team member the information needed to operationalize best-in-class fundraising practices. The Donor Database Administrator will assist in donation documentation, prospect research, task management, and donor stewardship. With an eye toward detail and an interest in process development, the Donor Database Administrator will play a key role in ensuring NSC has the resources necessary to support newcomers upon arrival in America. 

Duties and Responsibilities

Database Management

  • Work collaboratively with the development and finance teams to record all transactions and interactions in Bloomerang, the organization’s donor database.

  • Maintain data integrity and security through regular review, internal controls, and the creation of new policies, when necessary

  • Create and maintain fundraising dashboards to assess progress toward goals

  • Create actionable reports for development staff and the board’s development committee

Donation Processing

  • Record revenue from third-party giving platforms (workplace giving portals, legacy platforms, Ticketleap, etc.) to ensure giving through these platforms is documented accurately

  • Work with the finance team to complete a monthly reconciliation of Bloomerang records to the General Ledger

  • Create and maintain online giving forms

Moves Management

  • Partner with the development team to document and manage assigned tasks

  • Working with the Development Manager, use donor data and prospect research to identify opportunities for revenue growth and network expansion

  • Contribute to donor segmentation and targeted cultivation/solicitation efforts

Research & Learning

  • Pursue high-level expertise in Bloomerang, NSC’s current donor database, through professional learning opportunities and research

  • Create user guides to help other team members benefit from all the database’s available features

  • Suggest process improvements when inefficiencies are discovered

Qualifications 

  • A commitment to NSC’s mission and a belief that immigrants strengthen communities

  • A strong belief in the value of accurate and actionable data

  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite

  • Familiarity with fundraising operations and donor databases. Experience with Bloomerang preferred.

  • Preferred Qualities: Attentive to detail; process oriented; proactive; strategic; efficient; communicative; curious; dependable; creative; flexible; collaborative.

Work Environment

This work is performed mainly in a hybrid office environment while sitting at a computer terminal for long periods. NSC is currently operating on a hybrid remote/office schedule. Employees are required to work on site at least 2 days per week. The job may occasionally involve lifting and carrying of items that may weigh up to 50 pounds. Offer of employment is contingent on successful completion of a background check.

Location and Hours

This is a full-time position based in our Philadelphia office. Currently, NSC operates with a hybrid work schedule, with full-time staff required to be in the office a minimum of two days per week. The hybrid schedule is subject to change. Our typical regular hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. We have COVID-19 safety protocols in place, and we revisit and update them in accordance with city, state, and federal guidelines.

Compensation

Annual salary range 48,000-$53,000, commensurate with experience. The benefits package includes generous vacation and sick leave; paid sabbatical leave; summer hours; 77% employer-paid health, dental, and vision coverage; short-term disability, long-term disability, and life insurance, 403(b) with an employer match.
