NATIONAL SAFETY APPAREL is Hiring a Production Intern Near Chicago, IL
- Conduct research to develop new and improved processes for manufacturing
- Prepare, update, and implement process improvements and changes to meet production specifications
- Provide thorough instructions for the successful implementation of process changes
- Assist with quality defect root cause analysis and countermeasure implementations
- Educate sewing operators and supervisors on product/design changes
- Develop and track metrics to monitor areas needing improvement
- Communicates findings and proposals to upper management
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree program in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
- Student must possess basic knowledge of manufacturing processes, inventory control, quality control, and lean manufacturing
- Well-developed problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational skills and follow through
- Experienced in Microsoft Excel
