About the role

Procure to Pay is the supply chain hub for National Grid, processing $15B in payments each year, 34K purchase orders among many other services performed on behalf of all National Grid employees.


What you'll do

  • Oversees and conducts various compliance activities in partnership with the P2P leadership team
  • Compiles data for internal/external audit inquiries, assuming ownership of department tracker
  • Reviews audit reports for accuracy, completeness, and content.
  • Acts as a positive representation of the department to the business
  • Maintains thorough knowledge of the department, as well as an understanding of how that impacts the business
  • Monitor, coordinate, and communicate the strategic objectives of the business
  • Collect, analyze, and utilize data and feedback to identify opportunities to improve the relationship with the business
  • Proactively solve conflicts and address issues that could occur within the business
  • Manage complex issues and inquiries, share best practices, and translate business needs to provide advice and build basis of influence, and develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.
  • Manage inquiries from stakeholders, providing support for questions related to contracts, purchasing, receiving, invoicing & payments, and other SAP processes.
  • Work with the management team to support ongoing development of end-to-end processes, to remove waste and increase value.

What you'll need

  • A bachelor’s degree, preferred control/compliance experience, and 1-3 years of analytical or business support experience.
  • Working knowledge of compliance issues/ SOX experience
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities
  • Detail-oriented and well-organized
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to foster strong relationships
  • Strong analytical skills, using systems including Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).
  • Ability to research, compile, coordinate, schedule, review, document, conduct independent analysis
  • Demonstrate strong organizational and planning skills with the proven ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Reviews accuracy of own work and checks that all details are completed.

Annual Salary

$67,000-$79,000

Salary commensurate with experience.

This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills. Candidates will be assessed and provided offers against the minimum qualifications of this role and their individual experience.
