Job Purpose

The Lead Plant Compliance Engineer (under the direction of the Manager of Compliance & Training) will work within the Liquid Natural Gas (LNG) Operations Compliance & Training Group covering three (3) states, with ten (10) LNG plants to ensure high levels of regulatory and company policy compliance through use of internal audits/inspections, risk analysis, and standardization across the enterprise. This role will also prepare reports for departmental management, train plant personnel on procedural changes and updates.

Key Accountabilities
  • Provide expert technical support to the plants relative to regulatory inspections conducted by Federal, State, and local regulatory agencies.
  • Conduct plant inspections on compliance to code and company policies. Based on the findings make recommendations to resolve any deficiencies found.
  • Enhance the department's LNG Operator Training Program by providing expertise in the development and implementation of the training materials.
  • Stay abreast of changes to codes and company policies and develop plans to implement those changes in the plants as required. Inform plant management of any new requirements that need to be met. Assure that any changes are properly documented.
  • Become proficient in the Process Safety Management system relative to LNG Operations
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in a technical discipline or 5 of equivalent experience.
  • Process industry experience relevant to discipline is preferred.
  • Knowledge of LNG systems, and regulations including Federal DOT CFR 191, 193 and NFPA 59A is desirable.
  • Preferred experience working with external regulators.
  • Strong analytical skills required to understand, manage, assess, trend, and problem solve.
  • Ability to work cross functionally
  • Organized, strong planning skills, and ability to manage multiple activities and programs in timely fashion Must be available to travel between MA/RI/NY as necessary.
  • This is a Safety Sensitive position and subject to random drug testing.
  • Valid driver's license

$116,000 - $136,000 a year
