s Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) through a grant administered program awarded to National Experienced Workforce Solutions (NEW Solutions).

This is a unique program where your talents, expertise, and experience will truly be valued. The ACES program provides an opportunity to work side-by-side with NRCS staff who are doing important work every day.

Benefits : Paid Health Insurance Premium for positions budgeted at 60 hours per pay period, Accrued Vacation and Sick Leave, Paid Federal Holidays, and optional Vision and Dental Insurance available for positions budgeted at 35 hours per pay period.

Qualifications :

Minimum of 10 year(s) of experience OR AA Degree

• Valid State Driver?s license;
• Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel

Duties :

Provides Program Support for NRCS Wisconsin Southwest Area and Field Offices with the implementation of Farm Bill programs.

Program Support Specialist will support services for planning / contracting functions associated with the contract process from application, to obligation, payment, and closeout.

Reviews accuracy of documentation, compliance with regulations, and justification of vouchers, invoices, claims, statements, and miscellaneous paperwork associated with program contracts;

reviews / uploads program information into an applicable database; and forwards completed documents to financial management staff for payment. 40%

• Assemble contract folders according to program guidelines; review practice components to financial cost data; identify discrepancies to be fixed before payment obligation. 25%
• Prepare supporting documents for payment requests. Ensure payment requests comply with contract provisions and are within spending limits prior to forwarding for approval and payment submission. 15%
• Track contract activities for progress and spot-checking; compile findings into reports. 10%
• Other duties as needed. 10%

• Annual Information system security, anti-harassment, and civil rights training.
• Travel Requirements : Infrequent travel may potentially be required for NRCS meetings.
• Remote work arrangements are available for this position.
