A successful Field Service Technician (FST) will inspect, service, troubleshoot, install, maintain, and repair industrial doors, loading dock equipment, and material handling systems throughout the Southwest Region. FSTs must be available to travel throughout Orange County, LA County, Riverside County, San Bernardino County, San Diego County, and beyond, in some cases. However, Dispatch does their best to keep FSTs close to home.
FSTs must be presentable and showcase good customer service skills, as you will serve as the face of the company and be the primary point of contact at the job site representing NES. FSTs will also work directly with our sales team and act as a technical resource. FSTs will sometimes work in teams of 2, but may be required to work independently in the field. FSTs must be able to work independently or with a team in a field environment.
This position requires some experience with welding and working with mechanical, hydraulic, and/or electrical systems. Prior experience in the repair or installation of industrial equipment and welding is preferred, but not necessary. This position requires the ability to work outdoors, at heights, and lift up to 75 lbs. Due to our customers' policies, this position requires a complete background screening. Also, candidates will be required to drive company vehicles, so a pre-employment drug screening, along with clean driving record and satisfactory DOT physical are mandatory.
While most of our training is hands-on in the field alongside an experienced FST, we also provide Employment Orientation to teach you the fundamentals of the equipment and our company culture. We’re proud to say that our employees work together to help build the best work environment in the industry.
