Responsibilities:

• Installation, Wiring and Commissioning of control systems
• Exercise technical, mechanical and control system aptitude/skills in order to accurately identify root causes for machine failures or break downs and the repair accordingly
• Instrumentation and controls debugging and troubleshooting
• May represent Facility as Associate Project Manager on segments of Corporate Engineering projects as well as lead small in house plant projects
• Receives general supervision and exercises some discretion as to work details
• Ability to work all shifts dependent on the need to maintain production
• Responsible for completing projects tasks within time and budget constraints
• Work is reviewed for overall accuracy, completeness and soundness of technical judgment

Qualifications for controls technician

• Possess the ability to read and understand controls prints
• Minimum of five years of experience in the maintenance of complex controls systems with multiple interactions is required
• Must have knowledge of how PLC, SCADA and/or other industrial control systems work to include some minor programming. Emphasis on Rockwell Automation RS Logix5000 and SLC500 platforms
• Three years' experience in the maintenance and calibration of instrumentation and process control equipment, in an industrial manufacturing setting including Food, Beverage, or other manufacturing industries.
• Technical training in electronics, instrumentation and process controls
• Work with Thermocouples, Transducers, PLC, Motors, VFD Drives
• Update and Maintain Plant library of all PLC, HMI, and VFD drive parameters on Corporate Drive.
