Position Summary
The Assistant Director of Training (ADT) will be responsible for working closely with the Director of Training (DT) to develop, formalize, and implement the training program within the Natalis Psychology Training Program (NPTP).
Description: This role will be integral to the training program. It is a position well suited to psychologists whose values align with a commitment to supervision, counselor development, and training. The Natalis Psychology Training Program focuses on training across levels; Master’s, Doctorate, and Post-Doctorate. Trainees come to us from various programs throughout Minnesota focusing on psychology, marriage and family therapy, and on occasion social work. As an organization, our training program is a core part of our mission. The Assistant Director of Training will work very closely with the Director of Training. Supervision of trainees and post-degree, pre-licensed providers in addition to clinical work are central to the position. Required Education and Experience
Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in counseling related field (Counseling or Clinical Psychology) with active licensure in Minnesota. Doctoral degree must come from an APA accredited training program preferably including an APA accredited doctoral internship.
A minimum of two years providing clinical supervision is required.
Experience as a generalist practitioner and the ability to supervise generalist practice.
Supervisory Responsibility
This role involves the clinical supervision and coordination of trainees and members of the training team. Specifically, provide ongoing individual supervision to 5-6 NPTP trainees (practicum students, interns, and/or fellows) and facilitate or co-facilitate up to two group supervision experiences. This role may also include administrative supervision.
Work Environment
This role operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, electronic health records, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands
This is largely a sedentary role; however, some movement may be required to complete documentation, engage with clients, trainees, and staff.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, salaried position. 40 hours per week are expected with some additional hours on occasion as workload and business demands. Days and hours of work are generally Monday through Friday during typical business hours, although employee may establish their own schedule in conjunction with the Director of Training to the extent duties and expectations continue to be met consistently.
Travel
Travel may be expected from time to time for professional development and between Natalis locations.
