About us

The mission of the North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (NASPGHAN) is to be a world leader in research, education, clinical practice and advocacy for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition in health and disease.

The membership of NASPGHAN consists of more than 2800 pediatric gastroenterologists, predominantly in 46 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Mexico and 8 provinces in Canada.

NASPGHAN strives to improve the care of infants, children and adolescents with digestive disorders.

We're looking for a highly motivated individual who likes to work in a fast-paced environment and is good at multi-tasking. A successful candidate will be responsible for managing membership associations and programs, overseeing membership and committee processes, and maintaining documentation related to this specific function. We are interested in a candidate with prior association management experience in maintaining, enhancing and promoting member engagement.

Responsible for overseeing overall operation of membership department including:

  • Responding to member inquiries
  • Maintaining Membership database:
  • Dues invoicing and processing
  • Processing New Member Applications
  • Preparing reports analyzing membership data/analytics

Responsible for committee management including

  • Maintaining database of committee membership
  • Managing the committee application process
  • Providing administrative support to our over 25 committees and special interest groups
  • Tracking projects committees have initiated
  • Communicating with other NASPGHAN staff on shepherding committee projects that fall under their umbrella in a timely manner

Improving engagement through software applications

  • Researching online communities that integrate with our database
  • Building and managing the online community
  • Managing the vendor associated with the software program
  • Marketing this new initiate to our members

Updating web-pages/software data entry

Assist Associate Director in clerical and administrative tasks.

Reports to: Associate Director in member clerical and administrative tasks.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree

Successful candidate will bring the following:

  • 5 - 10 years of related experience, preferably in a non-profit association
  • Deep experience in membership associations, managing membership processes, and leading member engagement efforts
  • Knowledge of current membership association management trends and best practices
  • Track record of implementing successful skills-development and/or networking programs for leaders and staff at non-profit organizations.
  • Experience building online communities
  • Proficiency in IMis membership software (or similar)
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Creative thinker and problem solver
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to communicate well with members
  • High level of accuracy and attention to details
  • Ability to prioritize, follow through on multiple tasks, and work independently
  • Ability to meet frequent and multiple deadlines
  • Willing and able to possibly travel once or more per year

This is a full time, in office position.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
