Junior HR Generalist
Location:Fairfax VA
Minimum Clearance Required to Start: TS or TS/SCI preferred, but candidates do not need a clearance to apply. Candidates must be clearable.

At NASK, we’re growing, building great teams, and doing exciting work. We’re looking for a Junior HR Generalist to join our administrative team. This position will assist the HR Director with various HR projects and initiatives. We’re seeking a team player with solid cross-functional experience interested in career progression within a dynamic environment. The HR generalist must be able to balance overall corporate needs, employee support, and the ongoing operational needs of the company while maintaining compliance with all HR regulations. This role is an incredible opportunity for those looking to grow their career in HR as a true generalist, playing a significant role in supporting and developing new program & system implementations at the company.
Role Responsibilities:
  • Drive HR initiatives and projects in all NASK office locations (CO, OH, and VA).
  • Administer HR programs to support timely, accurate HR operations
  • Reinforce Policies & Practices – Promptly escalate and assist in resolving issues
  • Assist with HR data administration, analysis, and reporting
  • Provide guidance/training to staff and managers for policies/practices
  • Assist in development and implementation of HR policies
  • Work with the recruiting team and hiring managers to develop appropriate job requisitions to post on platforms
  • Assist with maintenance of employee files and records in electronic form
  • Provide internal customer service support to employees in various HR-related topics
  • Guide the interpretation and application of Human Resources policies and procedures while keeping abreast of current employment law compliance/concerns
  • Assist with Benefits Administration and New Hires Orientation
  • Generate internal documents as necessary (examples include, but are not limited to, generating offer and appointment letters, performance improvement plans, separation notices, etc.
  • Assist the HR Director with other HR-related duties and activities.
Required Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years of working HR experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, along with highly developed listening skills
    • High level of interpersonal and communication skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation
  • Strong experience with Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Capable of handling multiple tasks with numerous stakeholders located in multiple time zones
  • Responsive and attentive to details
  • Entry-level knowledge of applicable local laws and regulations related to Human Resources
  • Candidates should have the capability to work independently and prioritize tasks to ensure the timely completion of projects
  • Prior experience in recruitment and onboarding processes, along with a basic understanding of HR functions, is necessary for this role
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working within the DoD and/or IC Community
  • Benefits administration experience
  • Experience with Paycor
  • Experience with Employee Navigator
  • Experience with performance management
  • Familiarity with EEO-1 and VETS-4212 annual reporting as well as e-verify submissions/verifications
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance

Compensation:
The salary range is $55,000 to $75,000; however, NASK Incorporated considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the role and responsibilities, work experience, education, training, certifications, geographic location, and market data. These are general guidelines and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
Please be aware that many of our positions require the ability to obtain or maintain a U.S security clearance which requires U.S citizenship.
