Communications Office Internship - Nashville Predators (Nashville, TN) - Summer 2024

The Nashville Predators Communications department is seeking an intern for the summer term (May - August). This intern will both shadow and benefit from hands-on experience and real-time feedback related to aspects of the in-season operations of the department, including but not limited to, writing event recaps, collaborating on media gifts, and assisting with the editing process for the Nashville Predators media guide. Interns will also assist with various media availabilities and press conferences, and game preparation which includes writing credentials, compiling stats and game notes, setting up press areas, and helping lead PR game night staff (when in-season). We are looking for a very energetic and outgoing individual who have a positive, can-do attitude and have a strong desire to learn and be part of the Smashville culture. In addition to the duties and objectives listed below, students will receive the opportunity to gain exposure to different departments and entities within the Nashville Predators organization.

Candidates MUST be able to receive college or graduate school credit for the completion of this internship. The Nashville Predators do not provide housing or transportation accommodations.

Communications Internship Minimum Requirements:

Reliable transportation to and from Bridgestone Arena
Strong computer skills, including programs such as Outlook, Excel, and Word
Strong interpersonal skills
Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and problem solve in fast paced work environment.
Must be available to work a minimum of 60% of Predators home games

Nashville Predators Internship Requirements:

The summer internship period will last from May - August
Ability to work evenings and weekends within the student’s designated credit hour requirement when necessary
All interns must be students at accredited colleges and universities, with the ability to earn academic credit for time spent in an internship position
Internships are open to Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors receiving college credit.
Internships do not provide compensation, housing, or transportation.
Internships do not guarantee full-time positions with the Predators organization upon completion.
As a condition of internship, qualified applicant will be subject to a background check, which will at a minimum include a criminal history check, character references, and if applicable, may include a driving history check.
Must be able to maintain confidential information.
