Medical Receptionist / Medical Phone Operator Job description:
Scheduling patient appointments
Greeting patients and visitors in a courteous and helpful manner
Checking patients in and out of the clinic which includes explanation of benefits, collection of co-payments, and having patients complete their paperwork
Answering incoming telephone lines and directing calls to the appropriate party
Other duties as assigned by the Clinic Administrator
Answer and transfer phone calls for a very busy switchboard.
Schedule appointments as needed.
Take and deliver messages as needed.
Screen calls to ensure authenticity, and make sure messages are communicated to the correct recipient.
Qualifications:
Prior Medical Office Experience is required.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Excellent Customer Service Ability.
Excellent Organizational Skills.
Professional Appearance and Demeanor.
Dependable.
Computer Experience- EMR.
Reliable Transportation.
