Job Summary:
I am seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide support and assistance to my brother who has developmental disabilities and epilepsy. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for my brother by providing companionship and help with all activities of daily living.
Duties:
- Assist my brother with daily activities, including personal care, meal preparation and medication reminders.
- Provide emotional support and companionship.
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and ensure a safe environment.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure proper patient care.
- Ensure that my brother’s dignity is maintained.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and any incidents that occur.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with people with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Knowledge of assisted living or nursing home environments is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
