Company Description:
Sterling Car Care Goodyear in Sterling Heights, is one of the largest independent repair facilities in Macomb County for the last 44 years.
We are currently looking to add two certified automotive technicians to our family.
We currently have five Master certified technicians and have found our workload far exceeds our current staffing levels.
Our existing staff has a combined history with our company of 94 years, so we have extraordinarily little turn over, and therefore there are very few opportunities to join our team.
Our Sterling Heights location has large service area of 10,000 square feet, and 4 acres of parking, a large service area to service medium trucks, has 10 lifts, one portable 30 ton lift, and two alignment computers, We supply all specialty tools and all the latest computer diagnostic tools necessary to accurately diagnose and repair today’s vehicles, as well as large trucks and diesels. We also have several exceptionally large fleet accounts, and over 30,000 regular customers in our base, that keep us terribly busy.
Master Certified technicians earn $35.00 per flat rate hour, with a $1,000.00 weekly guarantee, fully paid vacations, health insurance benefits, 401k, all major holidays off, and dental plan and optical plan is also available, as well as weekly bonus of up to $400.00 for outstanding performance.
Our current technicians make between $80,000 - $100,000 plus.
- Researching vehicles for service bulletins and repair information
- Explaining technical diagnoses and needed repairs
- Consistently taking the extra steps needed to achieve customer satisfaction
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an automotive technician 5 year minimum
- Previous experience in wheel alignments and brakes is a plus for this job
- ASE Certification, preferred master, or State of Michigan license in good standing
- Knowledge of diagnostic and repair equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Organized, clean and professional
- Customer-focused attitude
- Must have own tools, and a valid driver's license
