**Overview:** We are seeking a dedicated Ophthalmic Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and possess knowledge of ophthalmology practices and procedures. **Responsibilities:** - Perform preliminary patient work-up including documenting medical history and measuring vital signs - Conduct diagnostic tests such as visual acuity, lensometry, and tonometry - Assist ophthalmologists in various procedures and examinations - Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using electronic medical record systems - Educate patients on eye care procedures and treatments - Handle medical coding and billing tasks in compliance with HIPAA regulations **Requirements:** - Experience in ophthalmology or optometry setting is preferred - Proficiency in medical coding and billing practices - Strong knowledge of anatomy, particularly related to the eye - Excellent patient care skills with a focus on providing exceptional service - Familiarity with retail sales or sales experience is a plus - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.56 - $27.91 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
