Manhattan Eye is Hiring an Ophthalmic Technician Near New York, NY

Manhattan Eye is an innovative private ophthalmology practice in the heart of Manhattan that provides a wide range of eye care services. We deliver the highest quality, personalized boutique eye care.

We are currently looking for a motivated, conscientious Ophthalmic Technician to join and advance within our growing practice!

Technician responsibilities:

- Required tests include: IOLmaster, OCT, AutoRx, Lensmaster, topography, HVF, UBM, and others.

- Takes patient’s medical history

- Tests and records near and far acuity including refraction

- Records abnormalities in pupils/peripheral vision and/or extraocular muscle movement

- Administration of eyedrops, glaucoma testing, ophthalmic photography

Job Type: Part-time for Mondays and alternating Wednesdays only with the opportunity to grow.

  • Monday
  • Wednesday

Typical end time:

  • 7PM

Typical start time:

  • 8AM

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $32.00 per hour

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • No weekends

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

  • ophthalmic technician: 1 year (Preferred)

Language:

  • English (Required)
  • Spanish (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • Certified Ophthalmic Technician (Preferred)
  • Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (Preferred)
