Nancy Fritz Designs is Hiring a Billing Specialist Near Seattle, WA

2 days a week, 16-20 hours. Possibility to expand to 3 days a week in busy months.

Do you like working with numbers? Have an attention to detail? Like a casual workspace? If you are looking to share your skills and talent in a part-time job and want to spend your time in a positive, easygoing environment, we would love to hear from you! We are looking for an experienced billing specialist.

Duties:

  • Process billing invoices and statements accurately and promptly
  • Review and verify billing data with job sheets for accuracy and completeness
  • Prepare and send out invoices to customers
  • Follow up on outstanding payments and resolve any billing discrepancies
  • Maintain customer records and update billing information as needed
  • Create and update Excel Spreadsheets
  • Collaborate with Office Manager and Owner to ensure accurate billing information
  • Provide administrative support such as proofreading, transcribing, and organizing documents
  • Provide general assistance to the Office Manager and Owner. We are a landscape company. While the majority of this position will be indoors and handling billing tasks, from time to time you may be asked to organize in the shop or perform other duties outdoors, such as watering, & light clean up.
  • Must be dog-friendly

Qualifications:

  • Our ideal candidate will be trustworthy, flexible, on time, maintain a positive attitude, enjoy math and working with numbers, enjoy working in a casual office setting, have a great sense of humor, be willing to roll with the punches and shift focus as needed and love working independently as part of a close-knit team.
  • 3 years previous experience in a similar role as an office assistant is required. 3 years of previous billing experience is required (Preference is given to an individual with contractor or landscape company billing experience)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Proficient in using computer software programs, Quickbooks Online, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, Email, Venmo, and the ability to work efficiently with a Macbook.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent customer service. Ability to remedy billing problems and resolve issues with customers in a productive and considerate way that promotes client longevity.
  • Note: Experience in a construction or landscaping-related office is helpful

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $22-$26 per hour
