• Perform and document patient assessments at the time of admission.
• Create a plan of care, including discharging plans, revise the plans based on eh patient's response to treatment, and regularly evaluate plans for effectiveness.
• Document the outcomes of nursing interventions and patient responses.
• Provide educational materials to patients and families on care and treatments.
• Administer medications and complete treatments according to hospital policy.
• Perform venipuncture, and administer and maintain IV fluids and IV medications.
• Review all new physician orders, ensure orders are carried out and documented correctly, and verify that other departments are notified of orders and services.
• Provide accurate and relevant patient information reports to the Nurse Leader and to the oncoming shift to ensure continuity of care.

• Texas Registered Nurse License without restrictions (required).
• BLS (CPR) certification (required).
• ACLS certification within six (6) months of employment (required).
• 1 year of Clinical Nursing experience as a Registered Nurse in an Acute Care Setting (preferred).
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English (required).
