Position Summary:
The charge nurse assumes two main job duties, patient care and administrative. The Charge Nurse has accountability for the overall efficiency and the quality of patient care administered on the unit and shift. Assists in planning, organizing, and coordination of direction of the clinical and administrative functions of their nursing unit.
