Hours: Full Time (40 Hours Weekly)

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and compassionate RN Supervisor to lead our long-term care nursing team in Kodiak, Alaska. As an RN Supervisor, you will oversee the day-to-day nursing activities, ensure compliance with regulations, and provide high-quality care to our residents. Your leadership and clinical expertise will contribute to maintaining a supportive and nurturing environment for both residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Compliance:
• Direct the day-to-day functions of nursing activities in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines governing long-term care facilities.
• Ensure that all nursing personnel on your unit follow their respective job descriptions.
• Monitor for survey compliance and participate in the development, maintenance, and implementation of the facility’s quality assurance program for the Nursing Department.
• Participate in surveys conducted by authorized governing agencies.
• Staffing:
• Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to determine staffing requirements for your shift.
• Complete employee performance evaluations and implement progressive discipline when necessary.
• Ensure sufficient nursing staff availability for your tour of duty and the following 24 hours.
• Clinical Oversight:
• Review nurse’s notes to ensure they are informative, descriptive of the nursing care provided, and reflect residents’ responses to care.
• Monitor medication passes and treatment schedules to ensure adherence to orders.
• Implement and document clinical programs (e.g., NAR, restraint reduction, pressure ulcer management).
• Resource Utilization:
• Properly utilize resources (personnel and equipment) throughout the facility.
• Make independent decisions to meet responsibilities effectively.

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited nursing school or a nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Current RN licensure in Alaska.
• Knowledgeable about nursing and medical practices, procedures, and laws related to long-term care.
• Previous medical/surgical experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree
• Nursing or advanced Nursing Degree.
• Upon hire: Alaska Registered Nurse License
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• 3 years Clinic and/or community nursing work experience that includes one year of geriatric nursing.
• Nursing leadership experience.

Preferred qualifications:

• Supervisory experience.
• Experience managing a budget.

Pay: $115,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
