Job Description
A well-established manufacturing company in the construction industry is looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to manage a client load of 400-500 clients. The ideal candidate is proficient in QuickBooks, experienced in full-cycle accounting, and skilled in reconciliations, payroll processing, and tax preparations. As an integral team member, the new accountant will contribute to the financial integrity and success of the manufacturing operation by ensuring accurate and effective accounting practices and compliance with all federal, state, and local legal requirements.

Salary: $35.00-$55.00/hr.

Type of Position : Temp-to-Hire

Responsibilities:

• QuickBooks Management: Expert use of QuickBooks for day-to-day accounting functions.
• Full-Cycle Accounting: Manage all phases of accounting, from journal entries to financial statements.
• Reconciliations: Perform monthly reconciliations of accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Payroll Processing: Administer payroll for employees, ensuring timely and accurate payment.
• Client Management: Handle financial transactions and records for 400-500 clients efficiently.
• Financial Investigations: Conduct thorough investigations into discrepancies and anomalies in financial records.
• Tax Preparation: Prepare and file taxes in compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Folder Cleanup: Organize and maintain financial folders and records, ensuring easy retrieval and audit readiness.
• Industry Experience: Leverage experience in the construction and manufacturing industries to handle industry-specific accounting tasks and challenges.
• Technology Proficiency: Use both Mac and Microsoft platforms for various accounting and administrative tasks.
• Bilingual Communication: Utilize Spanish language skills to communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking clients and stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not required
• Proven experience in a similar accounting role, particularly within the construction and manufacturing industries, handling a high volume of clients
• Proficient in QuickBooks, Microsoft Office Suite, and Mac systems
• Bilingual in Spanish and English is required
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all accounting tasks
• Strong organizational and time management skills to handle a large client load effectively
